Travel to Borobudur Temple

Borobudur Temple is the biggest Buddhist temple in the world. Borobudur Temple is located in Magelang, Central Java, and is located not far away with the Prambanan Temple (about 40 km).

The temple was founded in the 8th century AD, the peak of the triumph of the Hindu Kingdom and Buddhists in Indonesia. However, in the 14th century borobudur began abandoned by community along with the weakening of the Hindu Kingdomand Buddhists in Indonesia. Borobudur was rediscovered in the 18th century by Sir Thomas Raffless. In 1975 to 1982 was undertaken restoration of Borobudur Temple.
